Origin
An unhurried sanctuary in Edinburgh's Old Town.
In 2014, Cafe Edinburgh opened its doors at 57 High Street, right in the heart of Edinburgh's historic Royal Mile.
Travellers from across the globe and locals from around the city both found their way in, drawn by candlelight and the comforting aroma of fresh coffee brewed slow and strong.
More than a decade later, the cafe remains true to its founding promise: an unhurried atmosphere where every visitor is welcomed warmly and nothing is rushed.
The room has changed hands twice and its mind not once.

Philosophy
We believe coffee deserves time.
We work with trusted independent roasters and small farms across Ethiopia, Colombia, and Rwanda — relationships built on quality, consistency, and shared passion. Every cup is ground and brewed fresh to order, never rushed.
The room is dark on purpose. Walnut floors, leather banquettes, candle stubs in old brass holders. We do not play music loud. We do not rush you out.
